I've had my BlackBerry Storm now since early December.  I can say I am quite happy with it.  Over the last few weeks I have found some apps that are free and great to use.

1. GMail Mobile [ OTA Download ]
   The mobile gmail app is great.  Works flawless.
2. TwitterBerry [ OTA Download ]
   BlackBerry + Twitter = Fantastic.  This app is at the top of my list.  It is lighweight and full of features.  It also has twitpic support.
3. YouTube [ OTA Download ]
   Great for killing time!  The app is real clean and makes it very easy to watch and search YouTube videos.
4. FaceBook [ OTA Download ]
   Not much in the way of features, but the basics are there.  I also like the ability to post photos directly to facebook.  Comes in handy.
5. Viigo [ OTA Download ]
   RSS, Sports Scores, Weather and much more!  This is a must download.
6. Google Maps [ OTA Download ]
   Not much needs to be said about this one.  The only feature missing is the ability to use the built-in GPS for turn-by-turn directions.
7. Soft Reset [ OTA Download ]
   Phone running slow, want to restart your Storm?  Use Soft Reset to make it happen without having to pull the battery.

I'm sure there are PLENTY of cool apps that I missed... I'll make posts as I find them.

Almost everyone I know has a phone allowing mobile web surfing.  One of my best friends, Justin, just picked up an iPhone.  To be honest, I have never actually touched or played with the iPhone before now.  Sitting at dinner, Justin and I pulled up my Flickr account to check out some photos of  my new Boxer puppy.

Now, I can honestly say I'm not a huge Mac fan (don't flame me yet!), the only Apple product I have is an iPod.  But, the iPhone is pretty slick!  However, I still won't pickup the iPhone for myself since it is still limited to AT&T.  I've been with Verizon now for about 4 years and have been happy ever since.

At the moment I currently carry 2 BlackBerry Curves (don't ask).  The BlackBerry Curve is a pretty solid phone.  Before the Curve I was a lucky owner of the Motorola Q (terrible), so the Curve was a major positive change.  For the last few months I have been following the news and release info for the BlackBerry Storm.  I'm really curious as to how that phone will perform.  Unfortunately, I'm only 6 months into my 2 year contract at the moment... but then again it will only be $250 to cancel the contract.

So, why am I rambling about these phones??  Well the meaning of all this madness is the realization that many consumers are moving (quickly) to web enabled phones.  This means that anyone who develops websites, online systems and intranets need to be actively thinking about how to build their project "mobile friendly".
