Magellan Roadmate 1412 GPS & HoneymoonSubmitted by Jerry on Sun, 2008-10-05 21:10 |
I was lucky enough to take the entire last week off for my honeymoon. We took our 6 day, 5 night trip to the central coast here in California. It was a much needed vacation and turned out to be fantastic.
Before we left, I ran to Costco and picked up a GPS to take along the way. This GPS unit was fantastic. It definitely took the stress out of navigating the unfamiliar roads and getting to our destinations quick and easy.
I normally don't do product reviews, but I thought this was fitting since I had such a great experience with this product. The unit I purchased was the Magellan Roadmate 1412. You can purchase the same model from Buy.com for just $229.98.
This model has a beautiful 4.3" widescreen touchscreen LCD and is loaded with 6+ million points of interest. We were easily able to find restaurants, gas stations, banks and our specific destinations using this GPS. It came with a windshield mount and power adapter. It was super easy to use right out of the box.
